Jane Jacobs passes away at 89

All who love New York City and hate soulless, community-crushing corporate developments that ruin neighborhoods, should take a moment today to remember Jane Jacobs, the woman who we all have to thank for preventing (most of) NYC from being turned into the drainage ditch of a superhighway.
