December!
The upcoming shows by Casino O'Fortune Cookie Productions:

Sadly, I'm going to be out of town for that one (well, maybe "sadly" is the wrong word, since I'll be in Miami for the Basel art fair...), but you should definitely not miss it! And I will definitely be here for this one:

Be prepared to have...the time of your life!

The year for a protest vote if there ever was one.
I'm normally against the protest vote, in our flawed two-party system I think you should cast your vote for a candidate with at least a fighting chance of winning. But tonight after work, you should go vote for Reverend Billy for Mayor. Bloomberg bought his third term ages ago, drowning us all in a sea of mailers and running against an NYC-as-usual bureacrat. So make that protest vote count! Help get Billy some more press!

Catching up
Hey! Here's the 2009 New York Burlesque Festival in some words and pictures.
And, this is very exciting, the triumphant, packed-house return of Killer Queen Burlesque in words and amazing pictures by Clint Hild.
Rock!

Poundsign returns
An incredibly busy summer became an incredibly busy fall, including the transition from being long-time Manhattanites to smug Brooklynites, and producing multiple shows, including the return of Killer Queen Burlesque for a triumphant night at Joe's Pub this past Friday! I've been so busy that this blog almost didn't make it back...but it survives! So, many things to catch up on, but for now, come join me in the audience tomorrow night and we can catch up in person, loyal readers. You're still out there, right? Anyway, I'll be at this show, it's going to be fucked up in the best possible way.

Three venues, one cease and desist letter, one name change later, still going!
Tonight is the third anniversary of the Gameshow Speakeasy, and the show is going to be an all-star bash; I've invited past mystery guests and panelists, some of our favorite performers and artstars to come out and be contestants, trying to stump the panel with their first job. It's going to be a whole lot of fun and if you're in the New York metro area, I expect you to be there to celebrate with us!
