Come on out, I'm sure the rain will have stopped by then.

Here's where I'll be tomorrow night, happily in the audience. Come out and join me!

And, his dead Muslim terrorist puppet bit is the third highest rated Youtube video.

Killing time before closing the office early to grab a bus north for family Thanksgiving, catching up on some very important reading. As usual, Gabe has summed something up much better then I ever could.

Living the dream

Thanks to burlesque, I get to host a game show every month, I hosted the burlesque version of Battle of the Network Stars, I make guest appearances in other people's shows as thinly veiled versions of myself, and last night, I hosted a burlesque beauty pageant, in a bowling alley in New Jersey. That's about the level of 1970s-style celebrity I would ever happily aspire to.

Summing up an extraordinary week

Thanks to Gabe at Videogum for the final word on this week of audacity and hope.

And as usual, the Onion gets it right too.

Just when I thought the news couldn't get any better this week!

They're opening a Two Boots Pizza on the Upper East Side! Just a few short delivery minutes from our apartment. Let the dancing in the streets resume!

Was it all a dream?

Did last night really happen? Did we really see masses of New Yorkers dancing and celebrating in the streets? Strangers whooping and high-fiving on the sidewalk, cars blaring their horns, hugging, crying, smiling? I've never seen anything like it. There's so much hard work ahead, but I've never felt so hopeful about the possibilities.

So, here's the shameless plug portion: come on down and keep the celebration going tomorrow night, we'll be at the Slipper Room for the Gameshow Speakeasy, Thursday at 8:00! I've got a fabulous mystery guest and awesome contestants lined up, you should come, seriously.

Hope

A little camera phone action from the booth this morning. I love the New York City middle school gym voting experience; the reassuring click of the manual switch, the deeply satisfying "ka-chunk!" of the manual lever. No touch screens, no punch cards, no doubts.

And I can honestly say that I haven't felt this genuinely good about a vote for a Presidential candidate since the first time I got to do it, in 1992. Now we wait!

Next up: the Jacksons

Here I am with my co-producers, Anita Cookie and Clams Casino, the two of them done up as early Madonna for the opening number of Borderline Burlesque, mere minutes before we took the stage. Everyone in the cast brought their A-game, the audience had a blast, and it was another great night.

Don't go for second best, baby!
