Wait...what?

This, I think, can go without comment. (Thanks to the lovely Plucky Charms for posting this on my Facebook wall.)

Plus, bonus points for William Shatner stars in: Silverhawks

Here, spend some time with illustrator Sean Hartter's alternative universe movie posters (and Atari cartridges. And paperback covers. And Topps cards.) This is my favorite kind of pop-culture mashup: combining the obscure, the mainstream and the bizarre with an obvious love for the tactile objects and half-remembered tropes of the last Century, to create something really weird, and cool.

Don't RISK missing out, I've got a MONOPOLY on your week's plans! (Hey-yo!)

Neil O'Fortune is heading into the biggest spring and summer of his hosting life, and I promise not to make this blog (even more of) a non-stop string of listings. But this week you should come out for a couple of things! Gameshow Speakeasy returns on Thursday! You should definitely come out, here's what you missed if you weren't there last month. Yes, that's our celebrity mystery guest from March: Richard Kline. That's right, Larry from Three's Company.
Then on Friday, I return as the host of D20 Burlesque, for their homage to board games! Not surprisingly, the internets went nuts for the first D20 show, their role-playing game tribute; my favorite was the post by my friend Bettie Pageviews (aka Simcha Whitehill) on the Daily What. It's not every day I get called a "nerdilicious New York City burlesque impresario."

Why, yes I am done with work and killing some time until my Friday plans, why do you ask?

I actually love when I find something that isn't the newest meme everybody's posting thissecond on their Facebook wall and sharing it. Case in point, I came across this just now on Best Week Ever, it dates from several months back and it made me laugh out loud.

See also: the image above, courtesy of the blog Pop Suede. This is actually courtesy of my friend (and reliably hysterical FB poster) Creamy Stevens, and every time I see it I laugh. It's also an example of how things CAN get lost on the internet: Pop Suede appears to be having trouble with its URL and the internal links don't work, making it impossible to reach this and most of their content on the original site. You'll just have to bask in this single image in all its non sequiter glory right here.

Look, it's been a hard week.

I feel you, it's been a rough one. Long and stressful. I'm here to help. Cute Roulette. You're welcome.
